Illustration Alumni Zelda Wang wins the 2009 Prismacolor "For Art's Sake" National Art Competition in the Cartooning/Manga category. Her image is titled Shi. Shi is the color purple, the mix of red (love) and blue (sorrow). Shi is death, the falling petals. Shi is the guardian of nature. The world is dying and cannot go back to how it once was, but it may be healed with a pure heart and the most innocent wishes. Clothing inspired by various Asian native cultures.
