Robert Crumb Is Truckin' to CSUF Grand Central Art Gallery

7.12.2009

CSUF Grand Central Art Center is hosting "R. Crumb's Underground," a large exhibit of Robert Crumb original comics pages and illustrations, until August 16, 2009. This traveling exhibit, curated by Todd Hignite originally for the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and coordinated by GCAC Director of Exhibitions, Dennis Cubbage, includes many of Crumb's early Underground comics explorations from the early 1960s (Fritz the Cat, psychedelic magazine cover designs, etc.) up to some self-referential comics and color work (New Yorker magazine) of the 1990s.
