Illustration MFA Pat Cantor Wins Best Children's Illustration Portofolio

Pat Cantor, who joined the Illustration MFA program last year, won the Best Portfolio Award at the 2008 SCBWI Summer Conference. She competed against more than 100 illustrators who came from all across the country and even from overseas. The jury consisted of five children’s book publishing industry pros (art directors, illustrators, agent, editors). Cantor’s award includes a trip to New York during the SCBWI Winter Conference where art directors from three publishing houses will meet with her. Last year, Cantor took third place in this contest.
