Illustration Instructor Mercedes McDonald Publishes New Picture Book

CSUF Illustration Instructor, Mercedes McDonald, recently finished the art on a new children's picture book, Hello Night/Hola Noche, written by Amy Costales, and coming out this month. McDonald has taught Traditional Illustration (ART 363A) at CSUF for several semesters. The soft look of her illustrations derives from the use of one of her favored medium, pastels, which she demonstrates in class, along with some inventive three-dimensional approaches to illustration.
