Fall '07 Art Courses Highlight
7.02.2007
For the Special Studies in Illustration (ART 483C), with both sections taught by Professor Cramp, the focus instituted last semester on creating "pitches" will continue. In addition to the regular offering of illustration courses (Traditional Illustration, Digital Illustration, Advanced Digital Painting, Elements of Sequential Art, Special Studies in Illustration, Special Studies in Sequential Art), the art history lecture course on the History of American Illustration (ART 480T) taught by Professor Hill once every other year comes around this fall. Professor Lamb will teach for the first time Professional Practices in the Arts (ART 475) with an equal focus on preparing one's career in applied arts and fine arts. It will benefit many Entertainment Arts and Illustration majors. Also of note, each of the two sections of Special Studies in Animation (ART 487E) have a new focus: Professor Grieb's section centers on the principles of character animation in 2D and 3D, while the other section taught by new Professor, Brandon Strathmann, will provide Flash animation instruction. The days and times of these courses appear in the CSUF Fall 2007 course catalog.
