CSUF to Comic-Con Preview: Profs. Vandruff and Hill Teach Sessions
7.21.2007
Next Friday, CSUF students and alumns will recognize familiar faces in the conference rooms of the 2007 Comic-Con. Professors Marshall Vandruff and Christian Hill each teach a session on the art of crafting comics. If you don't know them, this is your chance to experience the intense teaching you get at CSUF! Hill's session, titled "The Comic Art Show: How to Create Successful Page Layouts," focuses on techniques to organize panels and compositions to make the comics page clear and engaging for the reader. See it in room 30CDE at 1:30pm. Vandruff's session is a commented journey through images and pages created by some of the best visual storytellers in comics, children's book illustration, and film. It serves as an intro to his Sequential Art crash course the next weekend in San Diego. His presentation is called "Lessons from Masters in Visual Storytelling" and it takes place in the same room 30CDE at 4pm.
